Rafting on the Kalaritikos River
Activity Description
The river Kalarytikos
- Gogu Bridge - Plaka Bridge - 17km. - 3rd & 4th degree of difficulty
(from November to May)
Narrow canyon with high slope that requires precision and maneuverability. 3rd and 4th degree of difficulty depending on the water and season on a descent that starts from the Gogo Bridge and meets Arachthos after 7km and the descent ends at our base on the Plaka Bridge in Tzoumerka.
In the Pindos Mountains, in Epirus, in the most mountainous region of Greece, are the sources of most of Greece's largest, largest and most beautiful rivers.
Rivers of all degrees of difficulty, for all requirements, can be lowered by rafting boats, "hot - dog" two - seater or "monoraft" single - engined boats.
Rafting is becoming more and more popular and constantly making new friends, and it is the natural path that gives us the opportunity to see and admire the unspoiled continental nature.
Experience and fitness in some rivers is a must, but it all requires bathing knowledge and the ability to play with the wet element. To get involved in rafting downhill, one has to start from rivers of first to second degree difficulty and then move on to rivers of greater difficulty.
